CAM BIENNIAL 2014

Continuing the tradition of supporting contemporary Oregon artists, Coos Art

Museum opens its galleries to new works by artists from around the state.

The CAM Biennial provides Oregon artists an opportunity to exhibit their works

within an art museum setting without the extensive jurying process. The

artworks exhibited in the CAM Biennial range from paintings to photography,

ceramics to glass, textiles to metals and more. Exhibition funded in part by a

grant from Trust Management Services, LLC

Plein Air Painters of the South Coast

Cam 2014 Plein Air Painters Show

I have three paintings showing in the Coos Art Museum’s “Plein Air Painters of the South Coast” in the Clare Wehrle Community Gallery.  This is a great opportunity for me to display my art with my painting buddies as well as regional artists that I have yet to meet.  The wonderful scenery and near perfect weather of the south coast of Oregon have made for a high concentration of  very talented plein air artists.  Coos Art Museum is very encouraging to local artists by providing this wonderfully professional space and promoting our work.

The Coos Art Museum is located at 235 Anderson Avenue, Coos Bay, Oregon, 97420.  coosart.org

Coastal Light Featured at Pacific Park Gallery

Coastal light featured at Pacific Park Gallery

Tranquility has settled into Pacific Park Gallery, 1957 Thompson Rd., with the art of Pat Cink, Paula Reis and Pat Snyder. Each artist brings their own spirit to their work through the use of different media, yet the emotional statement is drawn from tranquility of Oregon’s iconic coastline and the harvest of its pure air, water and unique light.

Patricia J. Cink is featured in the Salon and Atrium spaces with more than 30 watercolor on Yupo and soft pastel paintings. The Bandon artist is a transplant from the Midwest where she developed her technical skills that have combined with her inner struggle for tranquility to explore coastal light playing with the rocky shores, dancing around still life paintings and inviting the viewer into area parks. The works represent the Coast from Brookings to Florence.
